Bulletin

The COVID-19 pandemic has left us without public gatherings for almost 3 months now.  Eventually this lockdown will end.  And rather than jump right back into public gatherings we thought it would be a good idea to ease into these gatherings.

So, we would like to experiment with in-person gatherings to help troubleshoot the reopening of our public services.  We will be meeting at Kissena Park in Flushing.  This gathering is not a public worship service. So don’t feel any pressured to participate, especially if you are concerned about contracting or spreading the COVID-19 virus.

But, we also know some who are very interested in connecting even through social distancing.  So, any who attend will be coming of their own accord and are assuming all the risks associated with coming to this gathering. If you do plan on attending you must follow the Health guidelines below. Also, please note that if you’re attending, you will be responsible for your own refreshments (food and water) as we will NOT be providing those things to limit contact.  Lastly, it would also be a good idea to bring a foldout chair or picnic blanket for your own seating.

Finally, below is a breakdown of what we will be doing this Sunday at Kissena Park. Enter the Kissena Park entrance close to the intersection of Oak Ave and 163 Street.  You will need use the other tabs on this page to fully engage with the service since there will be no projection of images or sound.  We will be livestreaming this service on FB so those that can’t attend can still be there with us in Spirit.  May we use this time to continue to deepen our faith in Him.

Do not participate if you have:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of Breath

Please (at all times):

  1. Wear a Mask and gloves
  2. Maintain Distance
  3. Sanitize your hands

During the service:

  1. Maintain 6ft of distance between you and others
  2. Only group together if you live in the same household
  3. Refrain from unnecessary physical contact (i.e. greetings and conversations)

How Great is Our God

The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty
Let all the Earth rejoice
All the Earth rejoice
He wraps himself in light
And darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice
How great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
Name above all names
Worthy of our praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God

From the Inside Out

A thousand times I’ve failed
Still Your mercy remains
And should I stumble again
I’m caught in Your grace
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
In my heart and my soul
Lord I give You control
Consume me from the inside out,
Lord, let justice and praise
Become my embrace
To love you from the inside out
Everlasting
Your light will shine when all else fades
Never ending
Your glory goes beyond all fame
And the cry of my heart
Is to bring You praise
From the inside out
Lord my soul cries out

Call and Response

Minister
O my Savior, help us.
People
We are slow to learn, prone to forget, and weak to climb;
we are in the foothills when we should be on the heights;
we are pained by our graceless heart,
our prayerless days,
our poverty of love,
our sloth in the heavenly race,
our sullied conscience,
our wasted hours,
our unspent opportunities.
Minister
We are blind while the light shines around us:
take the scales from our eyes,
grind to dust our hearts of unbelief.
People
Make it our highest joy to study you,
meditate on you,
gaze on you,
sit like Mary at your feet,
lean like John on your chest,
appeal like Peter to your love,
count like Paul all things but dung.
Together
We believe, help our unbelief. Amen
